OUR DEPARTMENT
The Department of Physics was established in the year 2005 offering M.Sc., Physics at the Post Graduate level. Subsequently, in the Academic year 2016-2017, we started the Under Graduate Program B.Sc., Physics. At present, the Department has 12 faculty members and teaching around 147 students in Under Graduate level and 51 students in the Post Graduate Level. The curriculum of the programs covers not only the wide area of Physics but also some of the areas of Applied and Advanced Physics, which makes the course multi-disciplinary in nature and research area.
The Aim of the Department is to encourage sincerity, integrity, hard work, discipline, quality, research and social responsibility of the students. The department provides quality training and Value based education to the learners so as to exceed in the areas of Pure and Applied Physics. The department has well trained Professors with high academic knowledge. With high honor the Department of Physics continuously produced more than 20 University Rank holders along with 2 Gold Medals from 2006 on wards . For the benefit of the students and teachers, the department had successfully organized various academic events such as National level Seminar, Conference, Workshops, Guest Lecture .,etc.
The faculty members possess unique dexterity in the respective space and also found with commitment and passion for education. The faculty members participated in more than 53 National and International conferences which is highly appreciable.
Our Department has received financial support to organize National and International level seminars and conference under DST-INSPIRE (Internship Science Camp-2018).Also we have tie up with INSA ( Indian National Science Academy) for promoting students to acquire science Knowledge in various field of our disciple.
Apart from the academies, the department concentrates physical and mental attitudes and behavior of the students as well as counsels them as and when they needed. This helps the students to get rid of their mind pinching issues which lead to excel in their academics.
All these credentials lead the department to one of the highly rated department in the college.
VISION
The Vision of the department is to transform the youth to become competent and motivated professionals by nurturing scientific temper and creativity.
MISSION
To provide quality training by blending with education to the learners so as to excel in the areas of Pure and Applied Physics.
