About the Department

This course trains youngsters into energetic executives and budding managers with administrative capabilities.  It provides
opportunities for youngsters to acquire knowledge both in the fields of business and commerce with all the basic requirements.

The Department offers a U.G. course and excels under the Head of Mr. P.Ayyappan with 4 devoted faculty members.
Inaugural function of the department association – Taylex was conducted on 16/7/2010. Mr. R.Maniyan, M.A.B.L., President,
Bar Council, Perundurai rendered the Special Address on “Commercial Laws and Consumer Rights”.
Mr.P.Ayyappan, H.O.D. participated in a workshop on ‘NCCMP’, organized by Bharathiar University and National Stock
Exchange Ltd on 30th and 31st of Aug 2010 at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
Interschool Meet – Kiddofeast was conducted for three days for the three level of participants (I-V,VI-IX,X-XII) from 18th to
20th Aug 2010. Around 3000 students from various schools participated in various kinds of events. Bharathi Vidya Bhavan
Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Erode bagged the Overall Championship.
Mr.P.Ayyappan, H.O.D. presented a Paper on “Recent Trends in Corporate Governance among BSE Listed Companies” in an
International Conference on Accounting Education and Research, organized by University of Kerala, Tiruvananthapuram on
13th and 14th Nov 2010 and on “Impact on Globalisation in Oil Industry in India.” in an International Conference on Global
Business Environment and its Impact on Managemnet Education, organized by Periyar Institute of Management Studies,
Periyar University on 11/02/2011.
The students of Final B.B.M. won the First Prize in Miming Contest, conducted by R.V.S. Arts and Science College, Sulur
on 07/12/2010.
“Executive Day” was organized on 07/01/2011. The students presented an assortment of Papers on “Logos and Brands of
Leading Companies”.
“Pongal Day” was celebrated on 13/01/2011. The students from various departments participated in a variety of traditional
games, conducted by the department students in collaboration with the Department of Tamil. 
Mr. Santhosh Ranjan of Final B.B.M. presented a Paper on “Impact of Globalisation in Indian Business Scenario” in an
International Conference on Global Business Environment and its Impact on Managemnet Education, organized by Periyar
Institute of Management Studies, Periyar University on 11/02/2011.
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE & CORPORATE SECRETARYSHIP
The Department offers a U.G. course and shines as a star under the headship of Dr.D.Sasikumar with 6 adhered faculty members.
It was established in the year 2000 and upgraded as a Research Department during 2006.
Dr.D.Sasikumar presented a Paper on “Management for Economic Development” at Senguthar Arts and Science College,
Tiruchengode in 2010. He also published an article on “Business Ethics and Social Responsibilities” and a book on “Women
Empowerment through Self-help Groups”.
Mrs.S.Baby, Asst.Prof., presented a Paper on “Environmental Degradation” at Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women
on 30th Dec 2010.
Ms.A.C.Deepa, Asst.Prof., participated in the seminar on “Corporate Excellence” at Sri Jayendra Saraswathy Maha Vidyalaya
College of Arts and Science on 9th Sep 2010. She also presented a Paper on “Growth of Science Sector” at Navarasam Arts and
Science College for Women on 30th Dec 2010.
Ms.M.Nandhini of Final B.Com., presented a Paper on “Growth of Service Sector” at Navarasam Arts and Science College for
Women on 30th Dec 2010.
Ms.J.Poorna Rajeshwari, Mr.B.Sugumar and Mr.S.Shankar, of Final B.Com., altogether presented a Paper on “Human Resource
Development” at Erode Arts College, Erode on 16th Aug 2010.
Mr.B.Sugumar and Mr.S.Shankar of Final B.Com., together presented a Paper titled “Economic Recession” at Gobi Arts College,
Erode on 15th Aug 2010.
Mr.S.S.Chiranjivi of II B.Com., presented a Paper on “Impact of IT in Factoring Services” on 16th Aug 2010 at Vivekanandha
College of Arts and Science for Women, Tiruchengode.
Ms.P.Dhamayanthi, Ms.A.JemilaArulSelvi, Ms.T.Iswarya and
Mr.S. Arivazhagan of Final B.Com., altogether presented a Paper on “Social Welfare” on 15th Aug 2010 at Erode Arts and Science
College, Erode.
Ms.M.Thamaraiselvi, Ms.M.Nandhini and Ms.R,Karthika of Final B.Com., altogether presented a Paper entitled “Family Welfare”
at Erode Arts College, Erode on 16th Aug 2010.
Ms.A.Anandhi, Ms.S.Nithya, Ms.C.Dhanalakshmi, Ms.R.Kavitha, Mr.M.Prakash, Mr. N.Yuvaraj, Mr.S.Raajkumar, Mr.R,Murugesh,
Mr.T.Praveen Kumar and Mr.N.Sridhar of I B.Com(C.S.) participated in the seminar on “Corporate Excellence” on 9th Sep 2010
at SJSMV College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore.

Lab Facilities

Well – equipped ultra modern laboratories having latest configurated computers are offered in our College. The laboratory is kept open for
the students till 6.00 pm. The computer laboratory is equipped with imported Intel 2 GB RAM work station with land server, Net server.
Internet connection through very high speed 4 MB radio frequency is operating round the clock, within the college premises to help the
students and staff to acquire extensive knowledge.
