About the Department

The Department offers U.G., P.G. and M.Phil., courses and stands in stupendous position under the Head,
Mrs.S.Latha with 14 trustworthy faculty members. It has a well-established laboratory updated with the new
version of Tally Package.
Mr.C.Sengottuvel, Asst.Prof, presented a Paper entitled “Impact of FD in India” at Annamalai University,
Chidambaram on 26th and 27th Sep 2010.
Mrs. K.Chandra, Asst.Prof, presented a Paper on “E-Commerce Applications in Banking Industry” in a
National Level Seminar, organized by Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore on 29th Sep 2010.
Mrs.D.Rajakumari, Asst.Prof, presented a Paper on “E-Commerce Applications in Banking Industry” in a
National Level Seminar, organized by Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore on 29th Sep 2010.
Mr.   Sangameswaran of I B.Com(C.A.) participated in a plenty of Speech Contests in Tamil and came
out with ample of prizes.
Mr.S.Prasad of Final B.Com(C.A.) partook in Shipwreck Competition, held at Krishnammal College,
Coimbatore on 22nd Sep 2010 and clinched the First Prize.
The department conducted a seminar on Leoclub steered by the Chief Guests, Jce.M.S.Sivakumar and
Fr.R.Senthilkumar. They delivered their Special Address on the topic “Leadership in Action” on 16/06/2010.
The department conducted a seminar on “Growth of Insurance in Modern Era” on 20/7/2010. The prominent
Chief Guests Mr.N.Rabik Ahamed, M.Sc.,B.Ed.,DGT., Mr.S.ManojKumar, M.Sc.,M.B.A., and
Mr.J.Chandrasekar, B.Tech., (Development Officers - LIC of India, Sivagiri Branch) steered the function.
The department function - CAMELIA ’10 was conducted on 21/09/2010. The Chief Guests,
V.Rajamanickkam,B.Com.,FCA., and R.Saranyaraj, B.Com., FCA., rendered their Special Address on
“How to become a Charted Accountant?”
The department conducted a seminar on Consumer Club. Mr.R.Bala Subramaniam, Vice President of
Consumer Protection Council, Erode Dt. delivered his Special Address on “Drug Awareness”.
The department conducted a State Level Seminar and Inter-Collegiate Meet on 24/2/1011.
Dr.R.Subramaniya Bharathy, Asst.Prof., Periyar Institute of Management Studies, Periyar University,
Salem steered the function. The students from distinguished colleges presented Papers on “Impact of
Service Sectors in the Present Scenario”.

Lab Facilities

Well – equipped ultra modern laboratories having latest configurated computers are offered in our College.
The laboratory is kept open for the students till 6.00 pm. The computer laboratory is equipped with imported
Intel 2 GB RAM work station with land server, Net server. Internet connection through very high speed 4 MB
radio frequency is operating round the clock, within the college premises to help the students and staff to acquire
extensive knowledge.
