About the Department

The Department offers a U.G.Course and dazzles under the leadership of Mrs.P.Gunasundari with 12 keen faculty members. It was started in the year 2000. It has well-established laboratories with updated processing systems.

Mr.P.S.Gowrishankar and Mr.M.Rajkumar of Final BCA(B) together presented a Paper on “Andriod Robots” on 28th Aug 2010 at St.Joseph College, Tirupur and won the Second Prize.

Mr.T.Shankar of Final BCA(B) participated in a Debugging Event, “Bust your Bugs” on 28th Aug 2010 at St.Joseph College, Tirupur and won the Third Prize.

Mr.C.Kavin and Mr.N.Dharmaraj of Final BCA(B) participated in "E-Quiz” at SRM University, Chennai, held on 13th and 14th of Sep 2010 and bagged the Third Prize.

Mr.P.S.Gowrishankar of Final BCA(B) presented a Paper entitled “Wireless Communication in Nano Technology” at SRM University, Chennai, held on 13th and 14th of Sep 2010 and received cash prize of Rs.750/-.

Mr.P.S.Gowrishankar of Final BCA(B) obtained the Second Prize of Rs.750/- cash by presenting Papers eld at S.N.S.Rajalakshmi College, Coimbatore on 17th Sep 2010 and at Christu College, Trichy on  3rd Sep 2010 respectively, topics entitled “Brain Gate” and “Discover Hidden Values in Data Warehousing”, accordingly. He also achieved the Third Prize in presenting Paper on “Facial Recognition using Eigen Faces by PCA Algorithm”, held at NGM College on 1st Oct 2010.

The department conducted a seminar on “Networking” on 18th Dec 2010. It was commenced by Mr.M.Santhosh,
Networking Admin.,Sans Bound, Chennai.

Mr.P.S.Gowrishankar and Mr.M.Rajkumar of Final BCA(B) together presented a Paper on “Nano Robots”, held
at Cheran Arts and Science College, Kangayam on 7/1/2011 and acquired the Third Prize.

Mr.P.S.Gowrishankar and Mr.C.Kavin of Final BCA(B) presented a Paper on “M-Voting”, held at D.J.Academy
of Managerial Science and Excellence, Coimbatore on 2/2/2011. They achieved the First Prize of Rs.1000/-.

Mr.T.Shankar and Mr.S.Jothishankar of Final BCA(B) won Second Prize in a Quiz contest, conducted by
Sri Venkateswara College of Arts and Science Management on 4/2/2011 and captured the Second prize.

Mr.P.S.Gowrishankar of Final BCA(B) presented a Paper on “4G Technology” at Kovai Kalaimagal College of
Arts & Science on 11/2/2011 and won the Second Prize of Rs.750/-.

The prominent figure of the department Mr.Kattur Tamizhchezhiyan achieved a plenty of prizes and came with
flying colours by winning in various Speech contests in Tamil, conducted by distinguished organizations.

Mr.C.Kavinn and Mr.N.Dharmaraj of Final BCA(B) secured the Second Prize and obtained cash prize of Rs.1000/-
by winning in “Software Testing” event, conducted by KGiSL College, Coimbatore on 03-09-2010.

Mr.P.S.Gowri Shankar and Mr.M.Rajkumar of Final BCA (B) won the Third Prize and obtained Cash Prize
of Rs.500/- for presenting a Paper on “Cloud Computing” at NGP Arts & Science College, Coimbatore on
20-08-2010. They proved their excellence by acquiring the First Prize in VLB Engineering College, Coimbatore
on 16-09-2010 for presenting a Paper on “Mobile Computing”.

Lab Facilities

Well – equipped ultra modern laboratories having latest configurated computers are offered in our College. The laboratory is kept open for the students till 6.00 pm. The computer laboratory is equipped with imported Intel 2 GB RAM work station with land server, Net server. Internet connection through very high speed 4 MB radio frequency is operating round the clock, within the college premises to help the students and staff to acquire extensive knowledge.
