About the Department

The Department offers U.G. course B.Sc.,C.D.F. and glows under the leadership of Mrs.P.Ramya and 4 dutiful faculties.
A seminar related to Reach CAD software was conducted by Arrow Academy on 29th June 2010.
Industrial trip was arranged to Narasus Spinning Mill at Omalur for II and III year students on
9th July 2010.
Reverse Glass painting was organized for I and III year students on 23rd July 2010.
Ceramic painting and Sand painting were organized for II year students on 13th and 14th of Aug 2010.
A Workshop on Painting was arranged for I year students on 16th Aug 2010.
“FASHION FIESTA”(Designer Contest)was organized by the department. The  department
students designed various fashionable garments for the show. Mrs.N.Radhika, M.Sc.,M.Phil.,
Asst.Prof., from Kongu Arts and Science College, Erode judged the show on 21st Jan 2011.
The department students participated in an Inter-collegiate meet – Fashionva’11, organized
by Bharathidasan College of Arts and Science on 5th Feb 2011 and bagged lots of prizes. The list
of prizes, as follows:

The  department students succeeded in distinguished contests in                                                
HILLARICUS’11, conducted by Hindustan Arts & Science College, Coimbatore on 14th Feb 2011.

Floral Arrangement – II Prize – P.Kandhasamy & Karthik.T.
Industrial Visit was arranged for III year students to Indian Print Mills at Erode on 9th Sep 2010.
The   department students not only won a lot of prizes but also bagged the Overall Trophy
in ZIRCON’11, conducted by Kamadhenu College of Arts and Science on 9th Feb 2011.

The department students participated and secured II Place in Group Dance in an Inter-Collegiate
Meet, conducted by SSM College of Technology on 15th Feb 2011.
The department students proved their discriminated skills by acquiring various prizes and bagged
the Overall Trophy in an Inter-Collegiate Meet, conducted by Sri Amman Arts and Science
College, Erode. The list of prizes, as follows:

Lab Facilities

Well equipped ultra modern laboratories for sewing, dyeing, printing and for Computer Aided
Designing latest configured computers are offered in our College. The laboratory is kept open for the
students till 6.00 pm. The computer laboratory is equipped with imported Intel 2 GB RAM work
station with land server, Net server. Internet connection through very high speed 4 MB radio
frequency is operating round the clock, within the college premises to help the students and staff to acquire extensive knowledge.
